Uniform

This video explains the difference between “Class A” and “Class B” uniforms, when to wear each, and some tricks on how to make the uniform last longer.

Your Cub Scout uniform is an important component of the Scouting program. The button-down shirt with neckerchief and slide is referred to as Class A; your Pack T-shirt is referred to as Class B. You may purchase a Class B t-shirt from our online Pack store. To purchase a Class A, please visit the Council Scout Shop located in north Austin or visit their web page to complete a form to make a purchase and they will ship it to you. If you are buying a uniform using money you have raised by fundraising, then please contact kylecubscouts@gmail.com and we will help you order your uniform.

Badge Placement

If there is any confusion about where a specific badge goes on the uniform, contact the Advancement Chair or your den leader.

Temporary Patches

A lot of times when scouts attend events, they will earn a patch that is not part of the official Class A uniform. So the big question is: Where do temporary patches go??

If the patch has a loop attached, it may be hung from the right shirt pocket.

If the patch doesn’t have a loop, then how you choose to display them is only limited by your imagination. The scout shop sells a red “brag vest” that scouts can wear with their Class A uniform, but it’s not a required uniform piece.
